Welcome to Wanderers Retreat. We have 11 properties. Nestled in a quiet bush setting, Wanderers Retreat is the perfect retreat for couples, families and groups. Located in a koala Habitat, within easy walking distance to beautiful One Mile Beach and the Tomaree National Park, Wanderers Retreat offers you a choice of two bedroom family cottages or luxury Treehouse accommodation for couples. Breakfast baskets are available on request. 2 Bedroom Cottage. All cottage linen is provided. Inclusions: TV, video and or DVD, CD/radio,bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchen. The full-length verandah extends the living area. WAKE to the sounds of the birds in a Luxury Treehouse, designed specially for couples. Positioned for privacy each Treehouse has the following features: Queen Bed, double spa, private balcony & BBQ, leather lounge, kitchenette, sound system, large TV, DVD, undercover parking, champagne, chocolates and port. All linen including bathrobes is supplied and each Treehouse is air conditioned for your comfort. Resort facilities include, BBQs, 12m inground Pool and ample parking for boats.

Things To Do At Wanderers you can access all the activities of Port Stephens YET have a peaceful place to come home to. PLUS koalas live in surrounding trees and land-based whale watching is within walking distance. Port Stephens is ideal for a relaxing short break or an action packed holiday. Easy access to the beach and national park for swimming, fishing and walking, golf, tennis, swimming and diving locations, dolphin cruises, whale watching or tours of the magnificent dunes are just some of the activities that are available locally. Forget the alarm, WHY NOT awake to bird calls.

Local Attractions:

The are many choices of water activities - waterskiing, sailing, cruising, fishing, snorkelling, surfing, patrolled beaches, swimming, diving, boat hire, kayaking, fishing, fishing charters, golf, lawn bowls, dolphin & whale watching, arts/crafts, sand dunes safaris on quad bikes, ferry trips to Tea Gardens (a fantastic experience), cafes, restaurants, hotels, camel riding, Hunter Valley vineyard tours. Also, a visit to Port Stephens is not complete without experiencing the incredible 30 km stretch of sand dunes and beach of Stockton Beach via Anna Bay. Enjoy by 4wd, horse, camel, by foot, or even a quad bike. There are also 4 golf courses for the enthusiast, bushwalks & numerous dog friendly beaches and parks.

Getting There:

From Sydney, travel to the end of the F3, which ends at a large roundabout. Turn right and follow the Pacific highway to Hexham, approx 5 kms, then veer left and cross the hexham bridge. You are still on the Pacific Hwy. Travel for approx 10kms and take the Nelson Bay EXIT, on your left. Follow the signs to Nelson Bay for approx 33 kms until you reach the Anna Bay area. At the Anna Bay Roundabout turn right into Gan Gan Road, travelling through Anna Bay to One Mile Beach. At the new Boat Harbour roundabout, turn left into Koala Place. You will find us near the end of the street, on the left.Please park and walk to office. If the office is unattended please use the intercom to contact us. Close to all Port Stephens attractions and activities, 7 kms to coach terminal and 25kms to Newcastle domestic airport.
